Caleb believes every family has the capacity to thrive when equipped with the right tools, encouragement, and perspective. Together with his wife of six years, Lacie, he set out to build a preventive family support system—one focused on strengthening marriages, preparing parents, and stabilizing family life before challenges become overwhelming.
As a husband, father, oldest of four siblings, and uncle to four, Caleb understands both the beauty and complexity of family life, including marriage, parenting, loss, disability, and generational transitions. His work is grounded in the conviction that families flourish when education and support are offered proactively, not only in moments of crisis.
Caleb holds a Master of Arts in Family Science from Concordia University–St. Paul and is a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) through the National Council on Family Relations.
He is also a Bringing Baby Home Educator through the Gottman Institute, a Marital First Responder, and a Financial Peace University facilitator, equipping couples with practical tools to strengthen their relationship, navigate postpartum stress, communicate effectively, and steward their finances with shared values. He has a particular passion for supporting fathers as they step into confident, engaged leadership during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting, recognizing the profound impact of paternal presence on family resilience and maternal wellbeing.
In addition, Caleb is a certified instructor in CPR, Babysitting, and Basic Life Support (BLS). These skills are deeply personal. In college, he survived a near-drowning incident in which his sister’s quick action saved his life, but left him with a traumatic brain injury that still affects his vision and dexterity today. This experience shaped his lifelong commitment to family preparedness, grounded in the belief that life is a miracle—and that we are called to faithfully use the tools God has given us to protect and fortify our families.
Beyond FaberFam LLC, Caleb volunteers with the Fairfax County Parent Education and Father Engagement Programs and serves as Church School Director at his local church in Virginia. Above all, his work—shaped alongside his wife—is guided by a simple conviction: families flourish when they are supported early, equipped intentionally, and empowered to grow together with peace, purpose, and unity.

Birth is one of the most meaningful transitions a family will ever experience. As a certified birth doula through DONA International, I provide calm, knowledgeable, evidence-based support to families throughout pregnancy, labor, and the early postpartum period in Northern Virginia.
Before entering birth work, I spent 15 years working internationally in security and peacebuilding — supporting communities seeking stability, dignity, and hope. Through that work, I came to believe that lasting peace often begins much closer to home: within families. Birth is where that story begins.
I became a doula after watching many friends walk away from birth feeling unsupported or unheard. Today my goal is simple: help every mother experience a dignified, supported birth and help families begin parenthood feeling confident rather than overwhelmed.
I am a DONA International Certified Birth Doula, one of the most respected and rigorous doula certification organizations in the world. DONA doulas are trained in evidence-based labor support, ethical standards of care, and continuous professional education so families receive professional, compassionate support during birth.
While I support mothers pursuing a wide range of birth preferences, my special joy is supporting women planning an unmedicated birth. I love helping mothers move through the moments that feel impossible and discover the strength and rhythm already within them.
My experience includes supporting families in both hospital and home birth settings, and I am comfortable navigating complex labor situations including emergency transfers and shoulder dystocia support. Birth can change quickly, and I work to help families stay calm, informed, and supported through every stage.
I am also expanding my training to better support VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) families, helping mothers approach birth after cesarean with strong preparation, clear communication, and confidence in their choices.
On a personal level, I also understand the physical and emotional challenges of pregnancy complications such as hyperemesis gravidarum. Because of this experience, I am especially passionate about helping mothers advocate for compassionate care and thoughtful support throughout pregnancy and birth.
As your doula, I provide:
• Continuous labor support through every stage of birth
• Evidence-based comfort techniques and labor positioning
• Calm coaching and reassurance during intense moments
• Partner guidance so fathers feel confident and connected
• Support navigating hospital environments and care decisions
• Thoughtful postpartum planning to support recovery and family transition
Families often tell me my presence helps them feel anchored, safe, and never alone — allowing both parents to stay emotionally connected as they welcome their baby.
When I’m not supporting births, I serve as communications manager for my local church, spend time with my husband and our two young children, experiment in the kitchen, and enjoy slow evenings with family.
If you're searching for a Northern Virginia birth doula who brings calm, experience, and steady advocacy to your birth team, I would be honored to support your family.
